Kafi is a voluntary, non-profit organisation that aims to combat poverty and unemployment on a social solidarity basis. A number of means and mechanisms are provided to achieve this, such as the Takaful Program, Endowment and Investment, Zakat and direct funding. The Foundation is headquartered in the Somali capital Mogadishu, and its mission is to establish economic, financial and endowment programs. An independent global charity, to achieve sufficiency and economic empowerment for the poor in Somalia and the countries of the Horn of Africa .
