Kafi for Development
is a voluntary, independent, and non-profit organization headquartered in Mogadishu, Somalia. Rooted in the spirit of social solidarity, Kafi works to combat poverty and unemployment through innovative and sustainable financial and developmental mechanisms that respond to the needs of vulnerable communities. Its approach seeks to elevate individuals from basic survival (kafaf) to sufficiency (kifayah), and ultimately to complete self-sufficiency (tamam al-kifayah), with a strong focus on empowerment and long-term sustainability.

Governance & Leadership
Board of Trustees — Highest governing authority, providing strategic oversight, approving policies, and guiding Kafi’s overall direction. The board works in close coordination with the Executive Director, who manages day‑to‑day operations, oversees strategic planning, and represents Kafi in official and partner engagements.
Supporting the Executive Director is the Secretary & Public Relations Manager, responsible for internal coordination, partnership building, event organization, and media communications.
